Frequently Asked Questions

The Love Map is your personal map of your partner’s world. It’s made of categories (like Food, Milestones, Experiences) and inside each category you add “memories,” short notes such as “Favourite cuisine” or “Where we first met.” Everything you add is private and only visible to you inside the app.

When you finish onboarding you get six categories: Food, Milestones, Experiences, Habits, Values, and Little Things. With Premium, you can rename them and add your own custom categories too.

From the home screen, tap the + button to add a memory. Choose a category (Love Map), give it a title (e.g. “Favourite dessert”), and optionally add a note. You can also open a category from the Love Map grid and add memories there; suggested titles are shown to inspire you. On the free plan you can add up to 5 memories per category; Premium allows unlimited memories per category.

Yes. Open the category, tap a memory to edit its title and note, or swipe on a memory to delete it. Deleting a memory is free for all users.

Yes. Open the category, then tap the category icon in the header to open edit options. Deleting a category (and its memories) is a Premium feature.

The quiz shows you one memory at a time (e.g. a title like “Favourite flower”). You try to remember the answer, then flip the card to see the note. You swipe Remembered or Forgot. The app uses spaced repetition: memories you forget come back sooner, ones you remember are scheduled further out, so you review at the right time. Each quiz is 10 cards drawn from your memories (prioritising those due for review).

Each quiz round uses 10 cards. We need at least 10 memories across your Love Map so we can build a full deck. Keep adding memories to your categories until the total is 10 or more, then the Quiz tab will let you start.

On the free plan you get one quiz per day. You can take another free quiz the next day. With Premium you get unlimited quizzes every day.

Free: One quiz per day; up to 5 memories per Love Map category; the six default categories (you can rename them); no deleting categories. Premium: Unlimited quizzes; unlimited memories per category; add custom Love Map categories; delete categories. Subscriptions are available monthly or annually (iOS; other platforms may vary).

When you hit a Premium-only action (e.g. “Add custom category” or “Unlimited memories”) the app will show the paywall where you can choose a monthly or annual plan. Payment is through the App Store (or Google Play where available). If you’ve already subscribed on this device or Apple ID, use Restore purchases on the paywall to restore your access.

Subscriptions are managed by Apple (or Google). To cancel, open your device Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (or the equivalent for your store) and cancel Affini. Refunds are handled by the store according to their policy; we don’t process refunds directly.

Go to Settings (gear icon in the tab bar). Your name and profile photo can be updated under your profile; your partner’s name, photo, and anniversary can be updated under the partner section.

If you signed up with email and password, open Settings → Account and tap Change password. If you signed in with Apple or Google, password changes are done in your Apple or Google account settings, not in Affini.

Go to Settings → Account and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, partner info, Love Map data, and all memories. This action cannot be undone. Your subscription (if any) will still need to be cancelled separately in the App Store (or Google Play) to stop future charges.

Yes. Your Love Map and memories are stored in your account and are not shared with other users or used for advertising. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
